Triple 6
.......................................................

With this book project we invited each receiver to chant along with us and modify one or more pages in six 2 nd hand books chosen and begun by us. This is both a part of our ongoing projects of exploring the book as an artistic medium and at the same time a critique of consumer society’s use-and-dispose mentality. The series is n© by floorless.

The reception starting this project was held on may 28 th, 2005 in an old biker gang hangout, which was demolished after the reception to give way for the building of office spaces and parking lots. The surplus money made on the sale of beer at the reception was donated to Danish artist Lisbeth Hermansen , who single -handedly created Hygum Museum of Art from scratch. Lisbeth Hermansen owned the former hangout and had kindly given us permission to use it in the period before the demolishing took place. We would like to mention that the council in charge of the demolition had us paint over all the walls (inside and outside) that had been modified before tearing the shit down … What can you do…

At the reception the outside of the house had been decorated by ZAP TV and floorless, while the inside had been transformed by members of the F10-crew, performing as Tag Team Champions alongside members of UHCC-crew and artists Clean and Rodeo. During the evening there was a live electronic noise-impro concert with Tanja Schlander, Astrid Lomholt and Dresse.

The idea is that the procession of the books can be viewed as a work in progress. The books are expected to return to us on the date of 06.06.06 where there will be a new reception for them, followed by a showoff at Nicolai Kirken in Copenhagen and a possible facsimile reprint of the issues. Once set loose, the books run their own course, tracking the strange networks and relations of the people they visit in the process.
