Find Fem Fejl ( 'Find Five Flaws')

This was our contribution to a weekend arrangement in the city of Aarhus during the summer of 2004. It is an illustration of an ol skool Citroen HY, created with aluminum paper, cardboard and foam, with the text: ‘Vandalized delivery van. The proposition handcuffed and chained to a bench,’ written across it. The work questions the public space and the use of it, with the intent of creating a discussion. It looks at the power of business and advertising campaigns aimed at making more money, while the individual’s use of public space to make ones opinion heard or the artistic use of graffiti artists is juxtaposed with crime and vandalism; issues which lead to a discussion of civil disobedience and direct action.
